This is a very tiny place where you will feel like home. You can sit here and enjoy coffees freshly made from a multiple award winning barista. The shop roasts it’s own coffee here. Their roastery is currently in the process of becoming BIO-certified so that they can also sell the organic coffees. You can even try to do so too with varying workshops and training. Also, you can choose the music for your own, from a collection of vinyls available.

  • My  recommendation: Ethiopian cappuccino

In the heart of the city, near the Mur River, you will spot one small house with a red facade and green shutters. This romantic place, with a terrace in the shade which makes it perfect to visit during warmer months, is perfect for brunch. The view over the river and the closeby squares are beautiful. The coffee there is very delicious. Here you can also try traditional Austrian cakes such as homemade sweet poppy seed and cheese curd tort.

Located close to Karl Franzens University and Stadtpark, this institution of coffee, with over 80 years of history, is one of the oldest cafes in Graz. It is also a great place for breakfast where you can find local, seasonal Styrian products as well as homemade soft drinks. But probably the most charming and unique part of the cafe is the rose garden. In a picturesque inner courtyard from the Wilhelminian era, you can enjoy your coffee or cake between roses and fruit trees.

  • My recommendation: homemade lemonade Rose blossom
