Living in the Campus Studios
The Campus Studios operated by Akademikerhilfe offer modern and comfortable student accommodation in Vienna, directly on the campus of WU Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna). Located at Freudplatz 2 in Vienna’s 2nd district (Leopoldstadt), the residence provides particularly short distances to lectures, libraries, and the facilities of the WU campus.
With a total of 149 fully equipped student studios, Campus Studios offer a modern form of accommodation for students who value privacy, comfort, and an ideal location. While Single Studios are occupied by one person, Double Studios feature two separate, lockable living/sleeping areas. The entrance hall, kitchen, and bathroom are shared by the two residents.
The student apartments in Vienna feature a private kitchenette, shower/WC, ample storage space, and a spacious study area. Many units also offer a loggia or balcony, creating a particularly pleasant living environment during university studies.
Rooms & Prices
The Campus Studios Vienna offer various studio categories ranging from XS to XXL. Depending on their size and features, the residence provides Single Studios for individuals as well as Double Studios with separate living and sleeping areas.
All studios include:
- Private kitchenette with refrigerator, ceramic hob, microwave, and sink
- Private bathroom with shower/WC
- XL bed (100 cm wide in XS–M, 140 cm wide in L–XXL)
- Desk and desk chair for studying
- Flat-screen TV
- Internet access (Wi-Fi and LAN) and TV connection
- Ample storage space and shelving
- Wardrobe and entrance hall
Many studios from the second floor upwards also feature a loggia or balcony. Accessible student studios are also available.
For everyday convenience, washing machines and tumble dryers are available in the basement. The laundry room is located directly within the residence and can be used by all residents.

The Campus Studios are located at Freudplatz 2, 1020 Vienna (Leopoldstadt), directly on the campus of WU Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna) and Sigmund Freud University. The location is considered one of the most attractive residential areas for students in Vienna, offering short distances between living, studying, and leisure activities.
In addition to WU Vienna, other important educational institutions and areas of the city are also within easy reach. The U2 underground line provides quick access to destinations including the University of Vienna, Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien), and Vienna city centre. Students who prefer cycling can benefit from Vienna’s excellent cycling infrastructure and a WienMobil Rad bike-sharing station located nearby.

Small pieces of furniture may be brought into the room. They must be removed and disposed of by the resident before moving out. The walls may not be painted or otherwise altered.
Yes. Paid parking spaces are available and are managed by APCOA.
Staff at Akademikerhilfe are not permitted to accept parcels on behalf of residents. Parcel lockers provided by Austrian Post are located in the entrance area.
Yes. There is currently a residents’ representative committee. Further information is available directly on site.
A washing cycle currently costs €1.50.
Yes. You need to provide your own detergent.
