Danube Feeling in the Handelskai Residence

Sports activities, barbecues or simply enjoying nature: With the Donauinsel within close proximity, our residence on the Handelskai is the ideal place to live for people who love the fresh air.



Located immediately on the Danube and thus within Vienna’s largest recreation area, the Handelskai residence offers space for 225 students. Single rooms are available in different-sized residential units, many of which even have a direct view of the river! Thanks to the U6 stop and surburban railway station nearby, the city centre is not far away.

Rooms & Prices

There is something for everyone: the single-room places are available in three different versions:

  • An apartment shared by two people: two single rooms share a bathroom and kitchen
  • An apartment shared by three people: three single rooms share a bathroom and kitchen
  • Small apartment: Single room with a private bathroom, kitchenette and balcony

All apartments are fully furnished. The single rooms measure around 10 to 18 m². Internet can be found in the room. The shared apartments have a cosy seating and dining area in the kitchen.

The building also has a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers, which can be used by the residents for a small charge.

Leisure Activities

Whether shopping, cinema or leisure activities: you can find everything you need here. With Vienna’s largest recreation area, the Donauinsel, right on the doorstep, sports fans and nature lovers can make the most of their lecture-free time. A big plus is also the Millennium City shopping centre, which is just a few buildings away.

There is sufficient parking available for bicycles in the bike room. Anyone with their own car can park this in the building’s garage for a fee.
