A dream for sports students: the student residence on Matthias-Schönerer-Gasse is within close proximity to the University Sports Institute Vienna (USI) on Auf der Schmelz. The shared apartments with modern furnishings offer space for a total of 70 students. These are mostly single rooms.

Rooms & Prices

32 apartments measuring between 25 and 65 m² are available on Matthias-Schönerer-Gasse. Depending on the apartment type, two to three people in single rooms live in one residential unit. The residents in a unit share the anteroom, kitchen and bathroom. All rooms are fully furnished and equipped with Internet and a TV connection. Some rooms even have comfortable sleeping galleries with a bunk bed.

The building also has a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers, which can be used by the residents for a small charge, as well as a separate ironing room with ironing machine.

Location

The University Sports Institute Vienna (USI) on Auf der Schmelz is just a stone’s throw from the residence on Matthias-Schönerer-Gasse. Thanks to good transport links, you can also reach the city centre quickly as well as the other universities in Vienna. The underground station U3 Johnstraße, the tram stops for lines 10 and 49 and the stops for bus routes 10A, 63A and 12A are just a few minutes away on foot.

Supermarkets, banks and a pharmacy are a short walk from the residence to cater to your day-to-day needs.

Leisure Activities

Find friends for life: the communal rooms are the focal point in any student residence. The communal rooms are available to all residents in Matthias-Schönerer-Gasse and offer plenty of space for joint activities:

  • Cooking together: if your own kitchen gets too small, simply switch to the spacious recreation room with its own kitchen
  • Skilfully done: in the leisure room, with its own table tennis and table football tables
  • Hold the next band practice in the music room
  • To let off some steam after a lecture marathon: the gym
  • Relax and enjoy the sun on the large terrace 

There is sufficient parking available for bicycles in the bike room.
